Transparent is an exercise on bitmap transparency effects, without the use of standard Windows 2K/XP alpha-channel transparency. This means that you can experience wonderful transparency effects on any Windows platform (98/Me/NT/2K/XP) and not just Windows XP that supports alpha-channel transparency. What is more, transparent allows for the content of your application to be fully opaque while the background of the app
The program gets the screen image underneath it's window, and then it applies effects like tinting, blurring, emboss and displays it in its window.
The effect is that the application window appears transparent, while the screen contents underneath appear "filtered".
